Styrkir til doktorsnáms

Markmið Doktorssjóðs Landbúnaðarháskóla Íslands (LbhÍ) eru að efla skólann sem alþjóðlegan rannsóknaháskóla, auka enn frekar þekkingu á fræðasviðum hans (búvísindi og umhverfisvísindi) og gera efnilegum nemendum kleift að stunda doktorsnám við skólann.

Veittir verða tveir styrkir, annars vegar á sviði auðlinda- og búvísinda og hins vegar á sviði náttúru- og umhverfisvísinda. Umsóknarfrestur er til 1. apríl 2019. Nemendur sem uppfylla inntökuskilyrði í doktorsnám (sjá: http://www.lbhi.is/log_og_reglur ) ásamt hæfum leiðbeinenda geta sótt í sjóðinn. 

Veittir verða tveir styrkir, annars vegar á sviði auðlinda- og búvísinda og hins vegar á sviði náttúru- og umhverfisvísinda. Umsóknum skulu fylgja: 

• Greinargerð um rannsóknarverkefnið, markmið þess og vísindalegt gildi,
• ferils- og ritaskrá nemanda, leiðbeinanda og fyrirhugaðrar doktorsnámsnefndar
• námsáætlun nemanda,
• stutt greinargerð um nauðsynlega aðstöðu til námsins,
• prófskírteini,
• önnur gögn sem styrkt geta umsókn, s.s. meðmæli. Umsókn má vera á íslensku eða ensku.

Doctoral grants of the Agricultural University of Iceland open for application

The purpose of the newly established Doctoral Fund of the Agricultural University of Iceland is to strengthen the institute as an international research university, to advance scientific knowledge within the university’s main fields of study (agricultural- and environmental sciences) and to enable gifted students to conduct postgraduate studies.

Students that meet eligibility requirements set by the rules of the fund and the Agricultural University (see: http://www.lbhi.is/log_og_reglur) together with a qualified supervisor, can apply.

The following shall accompany the application:

• Report on the objectives and scientific value of the project and the status of knowledge in the field, together with a research plan (max 5 pp.),
• CVs of student, supervisor and the proposed doctoral committee,
• short report on necessary facilities/equipment,
• copies of certificates/records of education,
• other relevant information and references.

Applications must be either in Icelandic or English. Deadline is 1 April 2019.
